FAQs

What are some of the different uses for GrainWay conveyors?
The conveyors are very universal. They can be used under the aeration floor of grain bins, in over head applications, in drive over pits, in moving grain to an elevator leg, and under hopper bottom bins.

What types of grain and products can the conveyor handle?
Corn, small grains, oil seeds, edible beans, popcorn, peanuts, ...

How fast do the conveyors load grain?
The flat conveyor loads a few BPH to 10,000 BPH. The incline conveyor loads 3000 BPH to 3500 BPH.

How many conveyors do I need for all of my grain bins?
One conveyor, Flat or Incline- can be used for all sizes of grain bins. Pick the largest size of bin for the use of one portable conveyor. You can also choose to use a Stationary Conveyor for each bin.

Do you make custom lengths of the conveyor systems?
Yes, call with any of your special conveyor needs.

How long does it take to install the new GrainWay bin equipment?
On average 3 to 4 hours per bin. This includes the time it takes to remove old auger systems. Installation is straight forward.

How far apart do my grain bin floor supports have to be?
Since conveyors are compact, the supports only need to be 17 1/2" apart. If the conveyor is stationary, 15" is sufficient. Tall bins require additional bridge supports between the 17 1/2" supports.

Can the conveyor covers be removed?
Yes, the conveyors are bolted together. The conveyor design makes cover removal easy.

How hard is it to tighten the conveyor belt?
Conveyor belt tightening is easy. Simply remove the weather cover located at the front of the conveyor and adjust the tension bolt.
